Jessica’s Biography:

I am a Registered Social Worker in both Ontario and Alberta and a candidate to the ACSW Clinical Registry. After completing my Bachelor of Social Work at Memorial University, I went on to complete a Master of Social Work at Dalhousie University. Since then, I have continued to expand my education with training in Flash Technique, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (Level One and Level Two), Emotionally Focused Therapy for Traumatized Individuals, and Complex Trauma Certification. I have additional training in treating narcissistic abuse and trauma informed yoga. I incorporate tools from Solution Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, along with a strengths-based approach. I value continuous learning and believe it is important to stay relevant as new research and developments are shared. I use a multi-modal approach, incorporating techniques tailored to your unique needs.

My areas of focus include navigating single parenthood, divorce/separation, post-separation abuse, healing from infidelity, and trauma. I also have experience with anxiety, depression, ADHD symptoms, and childhood abuse. My clients discover growth and embrace change while finding clarity, and feel safe to explore thoughts and feelings with a compassionate guide. Together, we can explore ways to deepen your personal connections, manage emotional challenges, and strengthen your sense of self.

From a place of openness and curiosity, I believe in supporting people to reclaim their present lives as a pathway to embracing their suture. My practice is grounded in empathy and curiosity, with self-awareness and self-compassion integrated throughout. Trust and comfort are an integral part of the therapeutic relationship, and it is important that you feel supported in a judgement-free way. In sessions, you can feel at ease by knowing that I will meet you where you are at. Through therapy it can be easier to take back control over your life and live the life you truly deserve. It's a journey where you can find clarity, build resilience, and develop strategies to navigate life's challenges.
