Yes, We Offer Direct Billing at Transformation Counselling!

At Transformation Counselling, we’re committed to making your experience as smooth and stress-free as possible — and that includes handling your insurance. Yes, we do offer direct billing for therapy in Kitchener-Waterloo! But there are a few important things to know before your appointment.

Direct Billing for Therapy– How It Works

We can directly bill your insurance provider, as long as:

• Your benefits provider is on our approved list (see below).

• Your plan includes coverage for counselling or psychotherapy services.

• Your plan allows third-party direct billing.

If your insurance company doesn’t permit direct billing, your coverage has run out, or your plan has a co-pay option, we’ll process the remaining balance using your credit card on file.

❗Note: All missed appointment and late cancellation fees are charged directly to your credit card, not your insurance provider.

When Direct Billing Is Not Available

We cannot direct bill for sessions with:

• Registered Psychotherapists (Qualifying)

• Registered Psychotherapists Requiring Supervision

• Student therapists

Additionally, some insurance companies may have specific requirements — like needing your therapist to hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree or have 5+ years of experience. If these requirements aren’t met, we won’t be able to direct bill your sessions with that therapist, even if your provider is on our list.
