Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (aka Solution-Focused Therapy, aka SBFT) is a therapeutic approach that emphasizes strengths and goals rather than pathologies and problems.

Created in the 1980s, SFBT was a response to insurance companies shortening the length of therapy they would cover.
