Tara’s Bio:

Tara is a Registered Psychotherapist - Qualifying who graduated from Yorkville University with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She previously completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Carleton University.

Tara is also certified as a yoga instructor through Power Yoga Canada. With over fifteen years experience working as a mentor and life-coach to young adults, Tara is experienced at connecting with individuals from various backgrounds. She is passionate about journeying alongside her clients in their quest for self-discovery and healing. She tailors her approach to meet her clients' unique needs and goals.

She draws from a range of therapy models including: Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy and Mindfulness-based approaches. Growing up in rural Prince Edward Island, she has always had a thirst for seeing the world and learning about diverse cultures. She has lived and worked in various cities in Canada and across the world and is fluent in English, French and Spanish.

Outside of work as a therapist, Tara enjoys teaching and practicing Power Yoga, baking and spending time with family.
